A OUTRA MARGEM is an art and critical thought platform that explores the transformative potential of art as an experience and a force for social change. Its activities bring together artistic creation, curatorial practice, and research, with a focus on confronting colonial structures, inequalities, and different forms of violence.

The platform develops projects in collaboration with artists, curators, researchers, and intellectuals, with a particular interest in creators, thinkers, community leaders, and activists from Indigenous peoples in Brazil and around the world. It recognizes their knowledge and practices as essential to broadening perspectives on art, territory, the body, ecology, and knowledge production.

Its activities include performances, festivals, art showcases, exhibitions, interventions, publications, educational initiatives, and support for research. The platform fosters encounters between different artistic practices and epistemologies of the Global South, strengthening collaborative networks in Brazil and internationally.
