Funk Killer – All for Love is an artistic-pedagogical project that aims to reflect on the tensions between the struggle for gender equality and the patriarchal system of power. The idea is to create an event that fosters learning and artistic actions based on discussions and practices that highlight the importance of human connection and love as tools to break cycles of violence and trauma. In this proposal, collective feminine knowledge and the discussion of gender are understood as ways to nourish alternative imaginaries in the face of the dominant patriarchal system.

WHY TO TALK ABOUT LOVE?

The project seeks to value the knowledge of women and people of diverse genders, recognizing these ways of knowing as powerful forces for coexistence and collective life. As Bell Hooks teaches us in her book All About Love: New Visions, through this work we hope to imagine and build a loving society—understanding love as a verb, as an action committed to breaking the cycle of pain and violence, in pursuit of greater freedom and safety for all bodies.
