On August 3, 10, 17, and 24, 2026, the Mário de Andrade Library, in partnership with A Outra Margem, presented the series Performative Readings – Indigenous Dramaturgies. The program featured texts written by the artists performing on stage, as well as works from Caixa de Dramaturgias Indígenas (A Outra Margem and N-1 Publishing House, 2023). Each week, two Indigenous artists performed texts authored by or developed in collaboration with Indigenous peoples, bringing forward perspectives on ecology, territory, cosmology, colonial structures, and artistic practices.
The project was curated by Andreia Duarte, with the following program:
August 3 – ANTES DO TEMPO EXISTIR: with Karol Kaysá and Wescritor Tupinambá
August 10 – DIAKHE: CORPOS-TERRITÓRIOS EM TRAVESSIA: with Lilly Baniwa and Rosa Txutxá
August 17 – TYBYRA – UMA TRAGÉDIA INDÍGENA BRASILEIRA: with Juão Nÿn and Isabela Santana
August 24 – O SILÊNCIO DO MUNDO: with Lenise Oliveira and Vicka Tupi
